Publix is Hiring a Facilities Support Purchasing Supervisor - Lakeland Near Lakeland, FL
Publix Super Markets is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor with knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures to join the largest employee-owned company in the United States! The Purchasing Supervisor will lead and manage a team of associates responsible for the critical role of properly executing procurement activities within SAP. This includes providing daily oversight, strategic direction, and execution of strategy for the methods of sourcing materials and issuing purchase orders in SAP for Facilities suppliers. To be successful in this role one must have knowledge in supply chain and contract administration procedures along with the legal terminology. Responsibilities include:
creating, maintaining, and facilitating ongoing training for procurement related processes and procedures for the purchasing analysts and sourcing specialists
providing daily guidance for escalated problem resolution
tactically executing team approvals and routinely monitoring overall team success while ensuring direct reports properly execute purchasing processes and procedure
serving as an advocate for both Publix and the associate by managing talent through providing daily oversight and direction for the procurement team
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Business or related field OR equivalent mixture of higher education and experience in the areas of Facilities - business development, strategic planning, and service operations management
2 years’ experience leading other associates either in a formal supervisory position or informal project support role
2 years’ experience in a procurement or supplier management
SAP or equivalent purchasing and materials management ERP software
