Job Description

ECPM Architect

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect of Enterprise Consent and Preference Management to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our organization's consent and preference management framework. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in privacy regulations, data governance, and customer relationship management, along with strong technical proficiency in consent management platforms (CMPs) and related technologies. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, enhancing customer trust, and enabling personalized and relevant experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop an enterprise-wide consent and preference management framework that aligns with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), industry best practices, and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, Marketing, IT, and Customer Experience, to understand business requirements, privacy policies, and customer preferences.
  • Assess current consent and preference management processes, systems, and technologies to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Define data governance policies and procedures related to consent and preference management, including data collection, storage, usage, and sharing practices.
  • Select, implement, and configure consent management platforms (CMPs) and related tools to facilitate the collection, tracking, and management of customer consent and preferences across channels and touchpoints.
  • Develop scalable and flexible architectures for integrating consent and preference data with other systems and applications within the organization's technology ecosystem (i.e., People Cloud Messaging, People Cloud Customer, People Cloud Loyalty, and others).
  • Develop scalable and flexible architectures for integrating consent and preference data with client systems and applications (i.e., Adobe, Salesforce, Tealium, Veeva, and others).
  • Establish mechanisms for obtaining, validating, and documenting customer consent across various interactions, transactions, and channels.
  • Design and implement mechanisms for honoring and respecting customer preferences for data usage, marketing communications, and personalized experiences.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of customer consent and preference data through robust data protection measures, encryption, access controls, and auditing.
  • Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors on consent and preference management best practices, standards, and guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the consent and preference management framework through metrics, analytics, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory developments in the field of privacy, consent management, and customer data protection.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (8 years) in architecting, implementing, and managing enterprise consent and preference management solutions.
  • Extensive experience (7 years) with SAP Customer Data Cloud, Onetrust, and other ECPM/CIAM solutions.
  • Experience (7 years) developing and managing APIs and API frameworks and gateways (i.e., Mulesoft, Kong, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies related to data platforms and data warehousing concepts (i.e., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Azure).
  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems including Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, Crownpeak or other Digital Marketing tools such as Campaign Management, Personalization and Targeting, Analytics, Social Media Monitoring and Insights, Mobility Solutions, etc.
  • 8 years of progressive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, Ajax, JSON
  • 5 years of experience with SQL and Python
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET framework including C# and ASP.Net MVC is a plus
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.) and their implications for consent management practices.
  • Strong understanding of building identities and identity resolution techniques
  • Extensive experience in data engineering defining and developing data flows and data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with consent management platforms (CMPs), customer data platforms (CDPs), identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and related technologies.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and compliant consent and preference management architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment (ex. Agile).
