Job Summary:

PTC Alliance is a fact-based, results-oriented, data-driven company experiencing growth in both domestic and global markets, including the dynamic oil and gas industry. Our major customers span construction, agriculture, mining, automotive, heavy truck markets, and the oil and gas sector. With Liberty as our largest facility specializing in producing Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), we manufacture seamless, welded, and cold-drawn steel tubing, tubular shapes, fabricated parts, component parts, and chrome-plated bar, tube, and machined components.

With up to 13 manufacturing facilities across five states and a corporate office in Wexford, PA, we’ve gone to great lengths to create convenience and quality for our customers that they are unable to find elsewhere. Our goal is to continue building quality products while creating and nurturing lasting careers.

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, outgoing, and service-oriented sales professional to join our team and account for the sale of OCTG products in our Houston sales region for the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient at understanding customer requirements, aligning capabilities, and managing resources and expectations to meet corporate objectives. This position will be based in Houston Texas and require some travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows a disciplined sales process for delivering consistent results that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including requests for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
  • Strengthen existing relationships with key clients, book meetings with prospects, and cultivate new client partnerships.
  • Manage and lead client escalations and communication across the organization on needs, priorities, investments decisions and save efforts
  • Develop and implement long and short term sales strategies in line with corporate strategies
  • Maintain the highest level of ethical standards
  • Perform other job-related duties as required by Sales management

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a technical or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Technical background in OCTG or metals industry is a plus

  • Communication Skills: Candidate should have strong, demonstrated negotiating skills, in high pressure environments. Ability to communicate and work well with people, both internally and externally is essential. Must possess the ability to solve problems independently when necessary.
  • Language Skills: Responsiveness and a high attention to detail are critical skills to this role. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Reasonable business acumen to have the ability to build and manage pricing. Understand and manage various pricing mechanisms. Understand how gross on material differs from gross margin. In addition, familiarity with business growth levers including revenue, volume, share, opportunity cost, and return on investment calculations is needed.
  • Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Must be able to learn and use various company software.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Must possess a valid driver’s license for business travel.
