PsiQuantum is uniquely positioned to deliver on the promise of quantum computing. Our architecture is based on photonics which gives us the ability to produce our components using high-volume semiconductor manufacturing processes, the same processes that have been applied in telecommunications and data center applications for decades. Since photons don't feel heat, we can take advantage of existing cryogenic cooling systems, the kind that have been operating at facilities like Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) since 2018. And because photons are basically light, they can move between subsystems using standard fiber connectivity, without the need for transduction in and out.

Our team is working across the full stack of quantum computing, from quantum architecture to photonic chip manufacturing, advanced opto-electronic packaging, hardware systems design, quantum algorithms and software tools, and cryogenic cooling. Job Summary:

PsiQuantum's Photonic Circuits team is at the forefront of pioneering advancements in quantum computing technology. This multidisciplinary team, consisting of physicists and engineers, plays a crucial role in the company's core mission by designing and validating the hardware that underpins our quantum computing machines. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about enabling software infrastructure for hardware innovations. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to significantly impact our processes, by creating software solutions tailored to our complex hardware challenges and data pipeline requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software infrastructure and solutions to support hardware design, validation, and data management.
• Support and enhance existing backend and frontend tools.
• Test and debug software to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new SW features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5-8 years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Git, Bash, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience with frontend and backend development.
• Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs for integration with other applications.
• Familiarity with React, Vue, and/or Svelte frontend frameworks.
• Experience with software solutions for hardware applications is a plus.
