Skilled Laborer I

Wage:$29 per hour

Full time position: 50 hour per week

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Reports to Foreman

PSC Construction is seeking full time Skilled Laborers to help with grading and underground utility installations for heavy industrial and private clients. 

Essential Functions:

• Frequently use hands and talk/hear
• Ability to see color
• Frequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, and jump
• Continuous driving automotive equipment
• Being near machinery
• Changes in temperature
• Working regularly around dirt and dust
• Walk long distances and stand long periods of time
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Reasoning, math, and language
• Occasional travel

Job Description:

• Safe operation of hand and power tools 
• Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing 
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill and compact trenches using some equipment
• Installation of water, sewer, and storm drain piping
• Load and unload building materials

Requirements:

• Mandatory background and drug screening 
• 3 verifiable years of experience in underground utility, earthwork, and/or the civil construction industry
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• OSHA 10 or 30 a plus
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Provide your own tools
