PSC Construction is Hiring an Entry Level Skilled Laborer Near Omaha, NE
Full time position: 50 hour per week
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to Forman
PSC Construction is seeking full-time Skilled Laborers to help with grading and underground utility installations for heavy industrial and private clients.
Essential Functions
- Frequently use hands and talk/hear
- Ability to see color
- Frequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, and jump
- Continuous driving automotive equipment
- Being near machinery
- Changes in temperature
- Working regularly around dirt and dust
- Walk long distances and stand long periods of time
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Reasoning, math, and language
- Occasional travel
- Safe operation of hand and power tools
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill and compact trenches using some equipment
- Installation of water, sewer, and storm drain piping
- Load and unload building materials
- Set up and break down safety fencing
- Mandatory background and drug screening
- Entry level experience in underground utility, earthwork, and/or the civil construction industry
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- OSHA 10 or 30 a plus
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
