Loan Administrator / Customer Service Representative

Description Prairie State Bank & Trust, a locally owned $800 million bank with 20 offices in Central Illinois, has an immediate opening for a FULL TIME Loan Administrator / Customer Service Representative in Lewistown, IL .

We are seeking talented, hardworking candidates who are motivated to learn, have great communication skills, and a passion for working on a team.

This position is an estimated 50 / 50 split between Loan Administrator duties and Customer Service Representative duties.

Loan Administrator Responsibilities :

  • Assisting customers in obtaining information and documents required as part of the loan application process;
  • Ordering loan underwriting documents such as credit reports, appraisals and title work from third party providers;
  • Coordinating loan closings;
  • Assembling and maintaining loan files in such a manner that the agreed upon terms and loan collateral are in place and that regulatory compliance it achieved;
  • Working directly with other bank departments in the booking of loans and in resolving any customer service issues;

This is a forward facing position and is integral in delivering customer service that consistently exceeds the expectation.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities :

  • Ensure that our customers receive excellent customer service
  • Assist customers with routine account related transactions such as deposits, loan payments, cashing checks, transfer of funds between accounts, stop payments as well as inquiries regarding transactions and services
  • Educating customers on bank products and services
  • Perform daily balancing functions of a cash drawer
  • Comply with bank operation and security procedures
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential

Hours of Operation :

M-F 8 : 00am-5 : 30pm

Saturday 8 : 00am-Noon

Requirements Recommended Qualifications :

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills; technical capacity
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Dependable transportation (company paid reimbursement for work travel)

Physical Requirements :

  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Stand 100% of the shift
