The Nutrition and Physical Fitness Bureau Food Access Project Manager II is a public health position focused on improving access to healthy food through various programs. This role falls under the Department of Health (DC Health), Community Health Administration (CHA), Nutrition and Physical Fitness Bureau (NPFB).

Responsibilities

• Manage projects related to WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), and WIC Vendor Management Unit.
• Provide technical assistance to grantees, farmers, vendors, and participants in these programs.
• Develop and implement plans for project work, evaluation, monitoring, and outreach/marketing.
• Assist with policy development and implementation.
• Maintain program databases and records.
• Conduct program integrity activities like data collection, monitoring visits, and compliance investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in public health, nutrition, agriculture, health administration, or a related field.
• Experience with food systems, farmers markets, grocery stores, and federal nutrition programs (WIC, SNAP, SFMNP).
• Public health knowledge and experience with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
