Your team

As a Software Engineer you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to implement software that will be used by advisors. You will code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to advanced technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

Job Description

As a React.js and Node.js Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining sustainable web applications using React.js and Node.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components, implementing them following well-known React.js workflows, and ensuring that the application is robust and easy to maintain. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and writing tests using tools such as Selenium to ensure the quality of the software. Additionally, you will collaborate with the development team to integrate updates and features into the application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop user interface components using React.js
  • Implement and maintain web applications using Node.js
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
  • Write tests using Selenium to ensure the quality of the software
  • Create functional test cases for user stories.
  • Write tests for react and Node.js using jest and other unit testing libraries.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate updates and features
  • Application Programming Interfaces (API): Consumption & Development; implementing service oriented architecture (SOA) patterns; Web service technologies such as APIs, REST, JSON.
  • Data Store: NoSQL or Relational Data structures; MongoDB BPM tools
  • Agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Thorough understanding of React.js
  • Experience with Node.js and frameworks available for it, such as Express.
  • Knowledge of testing tools such as Selenium.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, engineering, or a related technical field.

The salary range for this role is from $100,600.00 to $149,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
