About The Role

As a QA Engineer at Proxima, you will be responsible for ensuring our product is of the highest quality. You will work closely with our Engineers and Product Team to test web applications, APIs, integrations, payments, and other backend systems. We’re looking for someone who is very passionate about technology and eager to use their experience to test our system. This position is very technical, hands-on, and requires a mix of manual and automated QA work. 

This role isn’t just about maintaining the status quo; it’s an opportunity to innovate and actively contribute to discussions about technology, architecture, and solutions for both new and existing projects. What You'll Do

• Work within an agile team to test features and bugs, ensuring the quality of software releases
• Align with Product and Engineering teams on requirements, specs, and testing approaches
• Work with Engineering leaders to define automated testing strategies
• Write test cases and automated tests scripts
• Coordinate software releases as needed
• Write documentation as needed

• 4-6 years of experience demonstrating an increasing responsibility for software quality
• Experience with automated testing of APIs, data pipelines, and distributed backend systems
• Knowledge of automated QA tools, such as Postman or Selenium
• Experience writing automated tests as part of a CI/CD pipeline
• Basic working knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
• Knowledge of best practices in software quality testing
• Self-starter with the ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced team environment to meet goals and deadlines
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
