Providence Health is Hiring a Medical Staff Coordinator Near Orange, CA

Description

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.

Medical Staff Administrative Support - Supports the QM/UM Director, Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, U/M Medical Director, and Administration:

  • Prepares routine reports, records, presentations, and correspondence as needed.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes regularly scheduled reports to meet required time frames.
  • Communicates information of a highly confidential nature.
  • Organizes and maintains filing system.
  • Maintains and coordinates Medical Director, Associates, and Officers calendar/schedule as well as coordinate meeting preparations.
  • Serves as a liaison between Medical Staff and administrative staff and patients.
  • Assists with department budget by completing monthly variance reports with Director.
  • Maintains policy and procedures for Medical Staff and UM/QM Department.

Quality Management Responsibility

  • Participate in the SJHMG Harper Award preparation and assist QM/UM Director and Harper team in the development and preparation of standards and reporting criteria.
  • Responsible for administering the Hospitalist, Shareholder, and Provider satisfaction surveys as scheduled and providing outcome reports.
  • Responsible for coordinating the Medical Group CME education and speaker with SJH Provider Development Team and SJHMG physicians.
  • Responsible for preparing, transcribing and tracking agenda items and tasks. (PCAC QMC and Peer Review Committee).
  • Maintains information in databases in order to compile and produce reports.
  • Designs, produces and distributes quality measure reports.
  • Works with QM/UM Director, to maintain required health plan reports (annually and semiannually) and as needed.
  • Generates quality reports and ad hoc reports as requested by the QM Committee, Medical Director, and Quality Management Teams.
  • Works with QM/UM Director, designs and produces quality measures required by health plans and medical staff.

Credentialing - SJHMG liaison to SJ Heritage Credentialing Administration.

  • Works with Practice Management Director to coordinate new physician credentialing.
  • Responsible for facilitating and completing credentialing applications for both initial and re-credentialing for all SJHMG and MHMG licensed providers.
  • Responsible for informing all necessary SJHMG stakeholders regarding physician credentialing status.
  • Responsible for partnering with hospital credentialing departments to ensure that provider privileges are maintained.

Required qualifications:

  • 5 years Physician’s organization providing administrative support to multiple individuals within a department.
  • Designing and preparing measures and reports of medical data.
