Responsibilities & Duties

• (SF Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara/San Diego/San Luis Obispo Territory) Oversee food safety and sanitation procedures for restaurants
• Conduct routine inspections of multi-unit locations to determine compliance with store requirements as well as county regulations
• Educate, coach and train staff during routine visits on food safety, internal policies, and overall employee procedures
• Lead Food Safety Training/Discussion sessions with owners and employees
• Generate food safety inspection reports to be sent to owners and managers
• Report writing outlining findings during audit

Qualifications & Skills

• BA/BS Degree in Biology, Food Science, Environmental Health, Microbiology, or related field highly preferred
• A minimum of one year of food safety experience
• Knowledge in California Retail Food Code
• Experience in retail food service is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an excellent Motor Vehicle Record
• Must have own vehicle
• Ability to manage time efficiently and execute projects diligently
• Fluent in Microsoft applications as well as iOS
• Must have EXCELLENT oral and written communication skills; be able to converse calmly and effectively during crisis situations
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Choose your own hours
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
