PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To keep production equipment and systems operating in a safe and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems on production equipment.
• Support engineering departments in implementation of machine modifications as well as installation and start-up of new equipment.
• Install electrical, compressed air and other utility runs for new or existing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and continuous improvement duties.
• Adjust and calibrate mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform basic machining/fabricating duties as required for machine/tool repair
• Facilities repair and maintenance
• May specialize in specific maintenance functions
• Utilize Express Maintenance daily to enter in daily work & assignments
• Maintain 3S standards to ensure a safe work environment. Support safety, health and environmental commitments that the company makes.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 year. Technology degree or journeyman card preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 5 yrs. Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and or machine repair
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, machine wiring, and industrial electrical systems
• Basic PLC programming skills
• Basic machining skills
• Physically capable of lifting and manipulating heavy objects. Capable of maneuvering in, on and around industrial equipment.
• Ability to work in heat.
• Lockout tag out & Arch Flash awareness.
• Fire Extinguisher, Fire Response and Fire Brigade training required with in 1 year of date of position.
