Propersys Corporation is looking for a passionate and motivated Mechanical Project Engineer for Gas Distribution Systems (GDS) who will work with our Engineering and Construction teams to support and facilitate the GDS in our large-scale construction project. This candidate will have an interface with the Construction team to support planning and execution at different stages of the construction process. This candidate will also collaborate with the Engineering team to support the creation, modification, and implementation of gas delivery systems and assets. Propersys Corporation is looking for an individual who prioritizes safety, innovation, cost-effectiveness, and excellence.

This position will be based in North Phoenix, Arizona.

Duties:

• Implement detailed scope and collaboration with facility project engineers.
• Advise CAD drafters in developing the piping design.
• Supervise all construction types of work including pipe drawing, piping, wall, and floor opening, pipe rack, equipment foundation, equipment locating and welding argon management, management of electric panels for construction, punch management, and improvement.
• Learn and understand existing architectures and make changes as needed for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Conduct onsite visits and coordinate with construction crew and operations personnel
• Establish and manage relations with independent contractors and vendors.
• Continuously streamline and optimize existing processes and functions.
• Prepare material picking lists, purchasing requests, and daily and weekly reports to the project managers.
• Record progress and update the construction table.

Required Education and Experience:

• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Can understand BIM and CAD drawings or willing to learn.
• Mechanical material identification and calculation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of gas distribution systems.
