At Proper Burger, the Front of House Manager is a full-time salary position. The FOH Manager is responsible for overseeing the FOH staff, ordering and delivery of food, maintaining the restaurant, and customer experience. Proper Burger is a fast-paced fast-casual experience with an extensive menu crafted of made-in-house fresh ingredients. Manager responsibilities include, hiring, staff training, and employee counseling for all FOH staff members. FOH managers must have strong organization, customer service, and leadership skills. The position requires familiarity with ordering and inventory practices, cash handling and accounting, and an ability to follow company policies and procedures consistently across all areas of responsibility. The FOH Manager spends a significant portion of their week managing the floor and working side by side with staff during service. It is expected that the FOH Manager is capable of stepping into every FOH role throughout the shift as needed, and to be able to provide consistent direction, coaching, and delegation of duties to FOH staff. Being able to communicate effectively and efficiently is required. Proper Burger is part of Proper Brewing Co. Beer and alcohol service is a part of our operation and the FOH manager must complete the Manager alcohol certification and background check with the DABS. It is essential the FOH manager ensures complete and consistent compliance with all aspects of state and local laws regarding the service of alcohol. A current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification is required or must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Pay range is based on prior experience and ranges from $45,000 to 50,000/year starting. Expected hours average 45 hours/week. Benefits include PTO, access to company health insurance, and dental/vision policies. Must be over 21. Must be available to work nights and weekends. The job requires the candidate be able to spend consecutive hours on their feet in a fast-paced environment. The job requires an ability to lift large objects over 50 lbs frequently. Two years manager experience preferred, at least one year prior experience is required. Qualified and interested candidates should submit a resume with their application for review.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Manage staff including scheduling, training, performance feedback, discipline, investigations, and separation of employment
• Oversee that all opening and closing duties are being completed correctly and that cleanliness, facilities, and equipment are properly maintained
• Responsible for daily cash reconciliations and correct operation of the POS system and sales reporting
• Inventory stock and ordering of all FOH goods on a weekly and monthly basis
• Managing costs and waste in your FOH categories
• Providing an excellent and consistent customer experience
• Leadership by example of staff
• Working closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure fluid and consistent operation of the restaurant
• Working with the GM and maintaining a safe workplace and positive work environment and culture
• Delegating and following up on tasks with the Assistant Manager and FOH shift leads
• Maintaining flexibility to navigate and adapt to shifting challenges in the restaurant industry
