The Position:

Billing specialists are responsible for compiling itemized home care bills, working closely with the Home Care intake and clinical office staff, and participating in performance improvement and CQI activities.

Responsibilities:

• Billing- compiling bills and submitting them to the proper insurance company/patients

• Collections- collecting unpaid claims, running AR reports

• Posting Cash- ensuring all remittance advice are posted to the correct invoices

• Month End Close- working with the appropriate departments to complete all month end tasks

• Documentation and Organization- documenting an audit trail of all tasks

• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• High school degree or the equivalent

• Previous experience in an office setting

• Basic computer knowledge

• Data entry

• Organizational Skills
