Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet and exceed our customer’s needs. You will work closely with customers, sales, evaluate market trends, and consider integration with other Prometheus Group products to develop innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities include

1. Product Vision and Strategy

  • Develop and articulate the product vision and strategy, aligning it with customer needs, market trends, and sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure the product continues to fulfill customer needs while aligning with the overall company strategy.

2. Product Value Proposition

  • Understand and communicate the value proposition of Prometheus Group products to customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop marketing content, such as white papers, webinars, and data sheets to showcase the product's features and benefits.
  • Attend and present at trade shows and conventions to represent the product and company.

3. Product Demonstrations

  • Create standard software demonstration workflows that showcase the product's capabilities and value to potential customers.
  • Train and coach sales engineers to provide standard software demonstrations
  • Conduct product demonstrations to potential customers, either in person or via webinars.

4. Customer Requirements and Feedback

  • Capture requirements from pre-sales calls and convey them to the development team.
  • Assist in the post-sales discovery process, helping customers identify their specific needs and aligning them with the product's capabilities.
  • Prototype and design new features. Build product requirement documentation for development team.
  • Travel to customer sites when necessary (up to 25%) to understand customer needs and gather feedback.

5. Product Development

  • Regularly meet with Development Team Lead to influence software development schedule.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure the product meets customer needs and aligns with the product vision.

6. Product Roadmap

  • Publish a quarterly product roadmap that outlines the product's upcoming features and enhancements.
  • Communicate the product roadmap to stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and development teams.

Skills and Experience

  • Required Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Computer Science, Business or a related field.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Use of software lifecycle management ticketing system (such as JIRA) for creating, managing, and scheduling software development requirements
    • Direct collaboration with software developers, testers, and operations teams to build, test, and deploy software.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Asset management, preferably in asset-intensive industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Nuclear, Chemical, etc.
    • Understanding of maintenance lifecycle. How work is identified, planned, and executed in asset-intensive environments.
    • Experience with SAP, Maximo, Oracle EAM, Primavera P6, or other CMMS systems is a plus.
    • Understanding of Health and Safety programs or Environment Social Governance
