Job Description
The Project Accountant will serve as a key role in the organization. This person reports to the company controller to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage General and Administrative AR and AP
- Manage AR and AP for project general conditions
- Upload and mange reports in Sage for above work
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist company controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-5 years of previous experience in construction accounting or other related fields strongly preferred.
- Proficiencies in MS Office (especially Excel) and working knowledge utilizing Sage 300, Textura, Timberscan and Procore required.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and comfortable managing the accuracy and quality assurance of assigned work independently.
- An ability work in a fast-paced, multi-task work environment with multiple deadlines.

- Exemplary organizational skills within a high volume and highly detailed environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable addressing and engaging with clients, vendors, and staff at various levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- A high level of integrity, dependability, and accountability for individual and organizational goals.
