Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, utilizing your expertise in medical imaging technology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans on patients using specialized equipment and techniques
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the scanning process
- Prepare patients for the MRI procedure by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze scan results
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques
Skills:
- Proficiency in performing MRI scans and operating related equipment
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret scan results
- Familiarity with other medical imaging modalities such as PET scans, mammography, and X-rays
- Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate image capture and interpretation
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues or patient discomfort during scans
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist
- Previous experience working as an MRI Technologist preferred but not required
- Proficient in using imaging software and electronic medical record systems
