Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a vital role in monitoring and managing patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform advanced nursing procedures such as cardiac catheterization, dermal fillers, and basic life support
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and workers compensation laws
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ICU nursing practices and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Athenahealth)
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Experience in senior care is a plus
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
