Hourly range: $18.69 - $26.17 - Starting pay $21.50 - $23.00
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The PSR is expected to perform position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:
· Provide exemplary customer service
· Greet and direct patients, sales personnel, and visitors.
· Check in/verify information for established and new patients, confirm insurance/referral, consent forms, and all patient information are up to date in practice management software and electronic medical record systems
· Identify payor source, verify insurance eligibility and financial status
· Enter personal health information and financial information into the practice management system with a high rate of accuracy; comply with federal and local laws to ensure patient privacy
· Assist patients with the completion of paperwork when necessary
· Inform patients of delays or wait times for appointments
· Review records for completeness, print necessary updates, and put records in order
· Review physician clinic schedule for accuracy
· Collect and post co-pays
· Facilitate the flow of patients by coordinating with medical assistants
· Schedule appointments, both over the phone and in person
· Schedule interpreters for patient appointments as needed
· Process outgoing referrals as needed
· Complete duties and assist others as directed
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· High School Diploma or the Equivalent
· 1-2 years of relevant experience in public contact, customer service.
· Minimum 1-year front office or reception experience, medical preferred
· NextGen and/or EMR experience (desired)
· Knowledge of practice management software and patient portal software is a plus

Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity is required for the use of a computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. It may require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
