Job Description :

• Assist plant superintendent by assuring that the assignedproduction department is operated in the most profitable andefficient way through proper utilization of assigned manpowermaterials equipment and space.
• The positionis responsible for organizing all assigned resources to produceproducts according to the current schedule and according to theapproved quality standard.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities :

• Bilingual in Spanish required. Must be fluent in Spanishand English.
• Supervise production team membersperforming production operations and must have thorough knowledgeregarding the team member handbook safety manual all rules programsand procedures that pertain to production team members.
• Responsible for orientation and on the job training ofteam members in the safe efficient operation of equipment.
• Instills good housekeeping of their immediatework area in all employees so that visitors may be received in theplant at any time.
• Evaluate team membersbased on attendance performance attitude potential etc.
• Responsible for maintaining manpower within the assigneddepartment at authorized levels.
• Reassignsteam members on down equipment to eliminate unfavorable laborvariances.
• Observes production operationwithin their area of control to ascertain compliance with methodsquality standards safety regulations production standards andefficient operation of equipment : takes corrective action toeliminate any deviation.
• Continuouslyanalyzes the assigned area of responsibility for improved methodsof production tool design communication and reporting cost controlsand makes recommendations to plant superintendent for disposition.
• Consults with team members regarding onthejobproblems to include low production poor quality poor attendancetardiness etc.
• Documents any and all problemsand provides action plans to plant superintendent for disposition.
• In case of emergency direct team member totheir assigned safe area. Process all required forms in a timelymanner for payroll and Human Resources (i.

e. employee status formtimecards PTO sheets EIRP reward etc.).

• Contact Engineering and Maintenance for required repairwork.
• With the Plant Manager and OperationManager study operation where cost standards are not being met todetermine causes and apply corrective action.
• Assist assigned team members in understanding the needfor teamwork to attain departmental and objectives. Support andcarry out corporate philosophy and vision.
• Attend safety and quality meetings when needed. Activelyparticipate in Health / Safety / Environmental investigations and the8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problemresolution.
• Ensure required Safety Audits arecomplete for you and your team. Reporting accidents occupationalillnesses and HSE&E emergencies and inform supervisor of knownHSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other teammembers assets or to the public.

Ensure compliance with all safetyprocedures and ensure safe working procedures in assignedproduction areas.

Must be able to evaluatecolor.

EMS Job Responsibilities :

• EHS Job Responsibilities : Documentation of injury reports.
• Completestatements as needed. Participation with the Accident Investigationteam.
• Conduct safety audits weekly andmonthly.
• Ensure safety standards are met.
• Have safety audits completed on a timelybasis.
• Complete safety related work orders.
• Participate in safety communicationsweekly / monthly events such as plant wide meeting preshift meetingdepartment meetings and training exercises.
• Any miscellaneous duties as assigned by Dept.Mgr.

• Candidate has the ability to computerate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability : Candidate has the abilityto apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnished in written oral or diagram form.

Other Skills and Abilities :

• Must be computer literateand familiar with appropriate software programs.
• Candidate has the ability to create visual aids forcommunication purposes.
• Duties also includeassisting in the daytoday management of the EnvironmentalManagement System.
• Following allenvironmental work instruction and / or cleaning up spills or otherduties required of the Environmental 1st Response Team.
• Typically requires 23 years of relative experience andeducation.

Required Education

• Post secondary education in a related field or equivalentexperience. HS diploma or GED equivalent
• Soundknowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Required Yearsof Experience :

23 yrssupervisory experience

Desired Skills :

• ADP experience a plus
