Projé General Job Board is Hiring a Program Manager - Dallas, TX Near Dallas, TX

We are currently seeking a driven and skilled individual for the position of Program Manager with experience working in the health plan space. Candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise level, cross-functional programs from inception to implementation in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams composed of various levels of personnel, vendors, and clients to orchestrate several related projects within the scope of the program to successful and timely conclusion.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, directors, managers, and individual contributors.
  • Work with program sponsor(s) and leader(s) to perform planning, including budget and hardware/software estimates, resource estimates and procurement, and implementation timelines for new implementations or enhancements.
  • Manage and monitor vendor resources, task assignments, and budget as needed.
  • Develop and manage a program schedule throughout the project life cycle, from initiation through post-implementation.
  • Apply formal Change Management processes when substantive modifications affecting the project scope, timeline, or resources/budget are suggested or necessary.
  • Manage program resources, ensuring appropriate allocation, alignment to tasks, adherence to timeline, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain oversight of underlying project teams in coordination with individual project managers to facilitate successful completion of identified projects within the scope of the program.
  • Ensure program and project teams provide high quality and cost-effective analytical support services.
  • Facilitate and/or lead process improvement discussions and ensure that current state, desired state, and gaps are well-documented for development of recommendations.
  • Facilitate issue resolution through analysis and collaboration; develop and present recommendations to leadership and negotiate to reach resolution.
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and manage program risks through application of a Risk Management process designed to minimize, monitor, and control the impact of risks to the project.
  • Organize and synthesize large amounts of information for presentation to program sponsor(s), leader(s), and team members through meetings and formal status reporting.
  • Ensure all necessary information is supplied to the Quality Assurance Team(s) for suitable planning and execution of testing.
  • Ensure all necessary information is supplied to the Training Team(s) for planning and execution of staff training.
  • Write or oversee writing of applicable program and project documents including charters, program and project plans, program schedule, policy and procedures, RACI/project log, business requirements, policies and procedures, and training materials using standard and approved documentation templates. Ensure all program and project documents are complete, accurate, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate program meetings as needed to effectively manage the program tasks and resources.
  • Develop or oversee development and distribution of detailed implementation plans and schedules.
  • Support post-implementation stabilization and program/project closure activities.

Key Qualifications 

  • Proven success in multiple programs and/or project implementations.
  • Ability to manage a large program or more than one project of a large size simultaneously.
  • Experience working closely with one or more vendors in the execution of a program or project.
  • Able to understand and impartially consider program and project needs among diverse colleagues in various departments of the same organization.
  • Ability to produce accurate and precise work, detect and resolve discrepancies all while meeting deadlines.
  • History of exemplary relationship management and effective communication with program/project sponsor(s), leaders, and team members from across the healthcare organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Visio required. Proficiency with SharePoint, Access and SQL preferred.
  • Familiarity with various project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SaFe, Hybrid).

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field. Three (3) years of experience managing programs or ten (10) years of experience managing projects within a health care organization may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of experience leading all phases of a large to complex sized project involving a minimum of ten (10) cross-functional team members, including one or more Project Managers, in a matrixed health care organization or closely related industry. Four (4) years of program administration in a health care organization or consulting role may be considered in lieu of this requirement. Experience leading a long-term development and implementation project typically spanning two or more years preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, and/or Agile certification required. Six Sigma Belt certification preferred.
