Job Skills / Requirements

Position Summary

The Director Of Operations oversees the Region/Regions to which he or she is assigned. This position is responsible for complete oversight of the day-to-day operations of the assigned branch office, including supervision of Account Managers, Office Staff, and subordinate employees assigned to the various accounts covered by the Branch location. The Director Of Operations is primarily responsible for providing operational support to internal and external customers within a given territory, which includes, but is not limited to, customer satisfaction, leadership, contract compliance, operations, quality control, human resources recruiting/staffing, and training support, and shared services. Furthermore, the Director Of Operations will ensure budget requirements are met by employing sound business, financial, and growth-oriented management practices. The Director Of Operations may report to a Vice President of the Region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure that ProGuard Security Services is providing quality service to our clients and that these accounts are operated in a manner consistent with established policies, contracts, and applicable laws
  • Maintain an active, strong client relations program by making frequent visits to discuss any problems or recommendations for improvement of service provided
  • Ensure that all Branch Office personnel understand and comply with, all applicable EEOC, wage and hour, and other laws governing employment, and on an annual basis an Affirmative Action Plan is properly prepared and administered within established guidelines
  • Ensure that the planned profitability of all is services is realized by utilizing sound financial management principles and providing a continual review of appropriate management information reports (e.g., Profit and Loss, Job Profitability, Weekly Hours, budgeting, and collections
  • Selection of branch staff, supervisory candidates, and selection of personnel to assume increased responsibility
  • Decisions regarding the development and oversight of action plans associated with retaining business and increased customer satisfaction
  • Decisions regarding the forecasting of labor rates, labor availability, and quality of personnel available for various positions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the branch follows all Company Policies and Procedures, including employee conduct, safety, and equipment maintenance.
  • Support Branch Accounts 24/7.
  • Report all progress and updates to COO including, keeping records and preparing accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods.
  • Generate new business by supporting a sales team or through personal efforts.
  • Oversee administrative and operational functions including payroll, billing, accounts receivable, scheduling, etc. utilizing manual and automated methods.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and data.
  • Follow-up on ongoing investigations.
  • Monitor approved annual Branch office budget.
  • Ensure all branch employee evaluations are conducted in a timely manner along with completion of Career Enhancement forms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years in operations, finance, branch or customer service management, or assistant management role
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising 25 or more people in a multi-location environment with multiple customers
  • Must have prior work experience independently managing a business enterprise with annual revenue of more than $3MM
  • Strong oral and written business communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the cost factors associated with selling security services
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and motivate an effective Security Team.
  • Have a valid driver’s license from the state where employed and maintain a clean driving record
  • Must be detailed oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient with the usage of scheduling software and all Windows-based computer programs.
  • Ability to create and maintain a superior guard force in a team environment.
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
