Mercy Housing Management Group is Hiring a Remote Regional Maintenance Specialist - Los Angeles Region

As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.

The Regional Maintenance Specialist will ensure the operations of the properties within the SoCal region are compliant with the standards and expectations of Operational Excellence (OE), Mercy Housing Management Group (MHM), and Mercy Housing. Collaborate with Area Directors and Regional Facilities Manager to complete special assignments and projects. Provide training, mentoring and education to site-level staff.

Pay: $85,000-89,000/salary DOE

Duties:

  • Collaborate with Regional VP, Regional Facilities Manager, ADOs and Property Managers to followed and achieved property budgets. Review and certify competitive bids are complete and reasonable.
  • Meet or exceed unit turnover timelines for maximum occupancy levels.
  • Adhere to company procurement standards.
  • Partner with Property Management to ensure that maintenance contracts meet or exceed the best possible quality and expense standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in skilled maintenance work required.
  • Technical expertise in one or more building trades and EPA Universal Certification.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certifications.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
  • Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Ability to make working sketches, use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
  • Interpret and understand maintenance information generated from property management software reports.
