The Bridge to Careers (B2C) program is a career training program that offers certificate-based trainings and links to higher education and the trades. The B2C program works closely with the Progreso Latino Job Club in assisting workers with career exploration and job search.

Position Overview: Coordinates and oversees a program that supports workers from diverse backgrounds in exploring career opportunities, accessing career training and higher education, and connecting with employers. The role includes facilitating certificate training courses and establishing relationships with employers to ensure that workers, particularly those facing language and literacy barriers, can access long-term employment opportunities.

Essential Job Functions: Bridge to Careers:

• Manage all aspects of the Bridge to Careers program, including current offerings and expansion based on employer needs, statewide demands, and sector growth.
• Collaborate with GED/ESOL Coordinators to recruit qualified students from ESOL and GED programs for Bridge to Careers programs.
• Work with the Admissions Coordinator to recruit qualified students for Bridge to Careers programs.
• Represent the program at career training meetings and events statewide.
• Oversee initiatives for foreign-credentialed individuals, including assisting clients with selecting a credit evaluation agency, completing applications, submitting documentation, and providing follow-up post-evaluation.

Job Development:

• Expand partnerships with employers by identifying and cultivating relationships with potential employers in various industries to understand their hiring needs and preferences.
• Attend job fairs, networking events, and industry meetings to broaden professional connections and stay informed about hiring trends and market demands.

Qualifications:

• Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Platforms.
• Spanish or Portuguese fluency.
• Ability to work some evenings.
