Catheter Lab Tech candidates will have the following job responsibilities:

• The CARDIOVASCULAR (Cath Lab) TECH is under general direction of the Cardiology Supervisor, performs special procedure testing, according to defined procedures, requested of the Department of Cardiology for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders and carries out related duties as assigned by the Director/Supervisor of Cardiology Services.

• CARDIOVASCULAR (ECHO) TECH is responsible for high quality service and care to all customers of the Cardiology Department. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Catheter Lab Tech candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associate degree preferred
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
• A current American Heart Association ACLS certification or American Red Cross ALS certification is required
• Florida: Current ARRT or RCIS credentials required. South Carolina: RCIS required (Trident: has 1 year to obtain RCIS). Florida: RCIS required
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
