Warehouse Shipping And Packaging Administrator
Scope:
As a Warehouse Shipping and Packaging Administrator, you are responsible for organizing, maintaining, and monitoring the warehouse stocks. You are also responsible for receiving the stocks, handling merchandise, preparing outgoing shipments. In addition to this, you will be checking for outgoing orders and directly works with and instructs warehouse workers on daily shipments.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
· Making sure the carrier comes to the right place by asking the driver for pick up number order number, PO number, name of the carrier delivery destination, for LTL driver needs a padlock, for truck loads we will provide the seal, asked the driver how many pallets they are picking up, make sure pictures are taken for each pallet loaded and picture of the seal on the door, verify the seal number is on the BOL.
· Must have knowledge and experience of how to manage the inventory functions.
· Plan work schedule for shipping prints orders three or two days in advance, prior shipping to pre-stage and verify, make schedule adjustments as needed with shipping staff and carriers.
· Verifies & keeps records on outbounds orders compares identifying information and counts, weight, or measures items of outbounds shipments verify information against bill of lading, packing slip, pallet placard, COAs, and other records.
· Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
· Ensure accurate record keeping, storage, and shipments/transfer of product to and from the warehouses.
· Monitor demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
· Plan work schedules of warehouse staff for all outbounds.
· Communicate with other departments to ensure orders are shipped out in a timely manner.
· Ensures proper LOT rotation and includes FIFO (first in-first out) and organic product handling.
· Perform cycle counts materials and products.
· Direct and execute shipping and put-away processes and ensure compliance with standards and practices with warehouse.
· Serve as a resource to investigate and respond to inventory discrepancies.
· Work with staff on assignments in response to rapidly changing shipping schedule.
· Maintain a safe, clean and orderly area. Adhere to quality and safety standards.
· Verify all inbounds record and verify the accuracy of the shipment against the paperwork for all customers.
· Use root cause analysis to put in place counter measures to eliminate errors.
· Verify picklist, BOL by item number, lot number, description of the product, manufacture date, expiration date, unit weigh, number of units, total weight, total number of units, a second associate must verify the order by item number, lot number, description of the product, manufacture dated date, expiration date, unit weigh, number of units, total weight, total number of units.
· Continually work with management on other optimization ideas.
· Verifies and records raw materials/finished goods compares identifies information and counts, weight, and measures items, of outbound shipments to verify information against bill of lading, and picklist, description of the product, lot number, unit wt, number of units, total weight, manufacture date, expiration date, allergen, organic, sales order and other records, notify supervisor/ manager, of any discrepancies.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
· Computer skills and over
· 3 years in warehousing
· Forklift Certified
· Strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, and shipping operations methods and practices
· Ability to read, write and speak English required, bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
· Problem solving, team building, project execution and ability to multi-task
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling. Ability to lift 50lbs.
