As a Medical Assistant/documentation specialist you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operations for the wound care specialist. You will support Medical Providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization communication, and assisting your provider with facility wound rounds. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. This position is for the rounding Medical Assistant- you will physically accompany your assigned providers to various care locations and assist with wound rounds.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe documents and prepare charts/notes
• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Arrange ancillary services including referrals
• Check with patients and type up patients charts
• Assist during medical examinations, rounding, and procedures as needed
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Provide your own reliable and insured transportation to and from care sites.

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant, medical secretary, or CNA
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to quickly shift tasks and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Previous experience as an MA or CNA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
