Professional Physical Therapy is Hiring a FACILITIES SPECIALIST Near Boston, MA

Professional Physical Therapy is a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation services in the Northeast and a certified Great Place to Work®.

Position Description:The Facilities Specialist is responsible for tracking of facility maintenance services. Perform various duties involving painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work and routine facility maintenance.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with developing and implementing maintenance intake and service delivery process. 
  • Assist with identifying appropriate maintenance vendors by standard classifications.
  • Schedules repairs and maintenance with the Directors and/or Site Supervisors.
  • Assist with developing preventative maintenance program in conjunction with Facilities manager.
  • Coordinate with maintenance vendors and identify cost effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Receive, examine and process requisitions.
  • Correspond with vendors; stay abreast of new products and market conditions and trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities manager.
  • Stays abreast of laws applicable to construction, repairs and maintenance. 
  • Attends Company meetings and training classes as required; completes assigned training courses as required.
  • Behaves in a manner consistent with Professional’s mission, vision and values.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, Risk Management and Compliance regulations.
  • Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Company policies and HIPAA requirements and all applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Perform various duties involving painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work and routine facility maintenance
  • Be reliable be able to work weekends if needed

Qualifications:

  •  Experience in facilities repair and issues troubleshooting
  •  Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation needed to commute to multiple locations daily
  • Basic hand tools needed
  • Associates degree required
  • Knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures is preferred
  • Experience analyzing costs preferred; works within the approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures; conserves Company resources.
  • Knowledge of procurement recordkeeping applications, principles and methods preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Effective organizational skills and time management skills are required.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to meeting expectations of internal and external customers.

Working Conditions:

  • The Facilities Specialist uses a high level of mental effort or analytical ability in order to gather and interpret complex information; find solutions to difficult human, technical or administrative problems
  • The Facilities Specialist will have contact with others inside and outside of the Company 50% to 75% of the time. Matters of importance are discussed and decisions are made. The overall success of the department is likely to be influenced as result of these contacts.
  • The Facilities Specialist has frequent communication with clinical staff, insurance carriers/brokers, field staff and Company Management.
  • Assignments are received in the form of results expected, with considerable freedom to decide priorities. Errors (i.e. delays, incorrect shipments received) result in significant region-wide impact or moderate company-wide in terms of cost, time or public and/or employee goodwill.
  • The Facilities Specialist performs under good working conditions. He or she would be exposed to adverse or hazardous working 5% or less of total work time.
  • He or She will be required to use close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to travel frequently (approximately 80% of the time) to different work locations as job duties require; must have a valid driver’s license.
