Professional Health Care of Pinellas is seeking a Medical Collections Specialist to join our busy team. PHC is an Internal Medicine Practice owned by physicians that has been providing care to patients in the community since 1997.

The Medical Collections Specialist is an important member of the Billing team. The position reports to the Billing Team Supervisor. The ideal candidate has a solid Medical Accounts Receivable background and the ability to collect on past due accounts effectively and professionally as well as handle cash applications and assist in streamlining processes.

Qualifications: 2 plus years of professional AR and business to business collections experience in a Medical setting is required. Experience with Managed Care, Commercial and Government Payors, prefer knowledge of Managed Care capitation and Quality Measures. Thorough knowledge of CPT codes, Medical Terminology and healthcare regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and prefer eClinicalWorks experience. Must have a strong attention to detail. Must have team player mentality, excellent Customer Service and Communication skills.
