PROFESSIONAL CARE SERVICES OF WEST TN is Hiring a Certified Peer Specialist Near Somerville, TN

PCS is a community mental health agency providing outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse services to children and adults with locations in Covington, Ripley, Somerville, Millington, Brownsville, and Dyersburg.

PCS is recruiting for a full-time Monday thru Thursday, Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPRS) at our Somerville site location.

A Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is someone who has self-identified as being in recovery from mental illness, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders of both mental illness and substance use disorder. CPRS can provide support to others with mental illness, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders and help them achieve their personal recovery goals by promoting self determination, personal responsibility, and the empowerment inherent to self-directed recovery.

Responsibilities include assisting in the development of a culture of recovery and peer support services by engaging in and supporting peer relationships. Person must be willing to share personal experiences from mental health disorder to build a sense of hope in the recovery process. Lead peer support groups as needed. Person can have CPRS or be eligible to become one.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.50 per hour
