Manufacturing Design Engineer

Garland, Texas - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Garland, Texas. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an experienced Manufacturing Design Engineer onsite for our client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in organizing and managing the ongoing manufacturing processes, focusing on designing and modeling manufacturing equipment. This role is pivotal in enhancing productivity and efficiency by streamlining operations and effectively managing resources.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Model existing manufacturing equipment and processes using SolidWorks.
  • Design and develop new manufacturing equipment and tools to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader team to communicate designs and modifications.
  • Act as the primary liaison between our team and the client to ensure alignment and optimal workflow.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met efficiently.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes through innovative design solutions.
  • Address and troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing equipment and processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a small to mid-size company where multitasking is essential.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks with substantial experience in designing and modeling equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects in a chaotic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, with skills in managing client relationships and expectations.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
