Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Ankeny, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Ankeny, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of limited scope and responsibility; work plans and decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

• Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process.
• Operate in a team environment.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for current operations.
• Investigate, gather, and analyze data and implement solutions.
• Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
• Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations.
• Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope.
• Design operations layouts.
• Improve material flow and material presentation.
• Analyze and make modifications to existing performance pay plans; assist in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.

Requirements:

• This person will be on the shop floor 85% of the time and 15% at a desk.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time - This will include bending and lifting.
• Shop floor experience.
• Education- Bachelors in Engineering, or 5 years equivalent work experience.
