Manufacturing Engineer II

Horicon, Wisconsin - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Horicon, Wisconsin. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be the direct line support person responsible for working with the production employees and communicating progress on projects to management, assembly process and tooling knowledge

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for current operations.
  • Investigate, gather and analyze data and implement solutions.
  • Innovate and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations.
  • Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope.
  • Design operations layouts.
  • Improve material flow and material presentation.
  • Lead team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Analyze and make modifications to existing performance pay plans.
  • Assist in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years in manufacturing environment, willing to review candidates such as recent engineering graduates.
  • Problem solving / trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for all levels of organization.
  • Ability to work hours of 3rd shift, anticipating running 10-12 hours a day with OT.

Preferred Skills:

  • Engineering or Engineering Technology (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.) or demonstrated experience as a manufacturing engineer.
