ProCraft Cabinetry is Hiring a Project (Cabinetry) Estimator Near Hillside, IL

ProCraft Cabinetry, LLC is looking for a Project Estimator to focus on construction/custom cabinetry by generating custom 2020 layouts and elevations. The candidates must compete with high-end residential and multifamily buildings. This position requires design drawings, reviewing estimate requests, communicating with vendors, budgeting, reporting, and escalating to management on the project. The estimator will work closely with the lead estimator to source, accurately price, and win local, regional, and national signage and fixture projects for the company. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Coordinate project execution with Project Manager.
  • Coordinate estimates from Subcontractors.
  • Communicate with the project manager, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Work with sales personnel to design and develop kitchen layouts within the parameters of the client’s space and budget.
  • Negotiate and issue purchase orders and contracts, price.
  • Must be proficient in estimating tools and procedures in drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Systematic and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Open-mindedness and creative thinking.
  • Have a basic knowledge of signage and fixtures and an understanding of materials and production timelines.
Requirements and qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Excel and other takeoff software.
  • Using AutoCAD for drawing and engineering.
  • 2020 Interior Design software.
  • Knowledge of the kitchen design process.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with contractors and homeowners.
  • Open-mindedness and creative thinking.
  • Reading blueprints, floor plans, and cabinet layouts.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degrees in engineering, Architecture, and Construction Management are preferred.
Experience:
  • At least 2 years experience as an estimator, architect, or related position preferably in cabinetry, construction, or a related area
  • Or cabinet drafting and design: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: $45,000 per year.
Schedule: 8-hour shift; Monday to Friday starting 8 am to 5 pm.
