ProCare Therapy is Hiring a School Psychologist - Orange, NJ Near Orange, NJ

School Psychologist - Orange, NJ

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in Orange, NJ. As a contracted School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students within our school district.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic abilities, social skills, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Offer consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding student behavior management strategies and classroom accommodations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and laws/regulations related to school psychology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist.
  • Previous experience working in educational settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
