As a service technician, the individual is accountable for conducting comprehensive inspections, precisely installing cabinets and their components, and promptly repairing, replacing, or realigning any worn, damaged, or misaligned units. Strong technical and problem-solving abilities are required, as well as the ability to work as part of a team or independently. The service technician must also possess excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients effectively and address any concerns or questions they may have.

Responsibilities

• Initial inspection of the quality of the installation carried out, recording and reporting on deviations. Read and complete tasks as communicated through written work orders.

• Complete cabinet installations using Shoe Punch (installation of shoe moldings, scribes, fast caps, etc.).

• Carry out repairs and replacement of units and parts (box cabinets, skins, pulls and knobs, face frame, etc.). As well as touch-ups, door and drawer adjustments, box alignment, etc.

• Carry out photographic records and reports on services performed.

• Complete all work within acceptable deadlines.

• Always maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Attend and participate in company and department meetings, services, and training as required.

• Any other functions assigned by management.

Qualification requirements 

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Good math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required 
• A high degree of attention is required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment. 
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
•  Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
•  Maintain a clean & safe environment 
• May be required to use an RF scanner gun 
• A clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required. 
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards
