Family of 4 is seeking a chef to work in their home in Sagaponack.Position is live-in, working thurs-Sun serving lunch and dinner. Chef will have their own room with attached private bathroom and be provided with a Jeep Wrangler to drive. 

 The Chef is responsible for cooking Lunch and dinner for the 4 family members, their 2 housekeepers, and any guests they may have. They typically have guests in their home over the weekend. The Chef will not need to cook breakfast but will need to purchase breakfast foods for the family (fresh organic fruits, yogurt, etc.) 
Must be a trained Chef who attended culinary school and must have worked as a live in private chef for a family. Must be well versed in healthy, Mediterranean, Alice Waters Style and healthy spa cuisine. The family eats very clean and healthy; all organic when possible, lean proteins, salads, vegetables and healthy carbs. Must be able to make a variety of tasty healthy sauces and salad dressings (no store bought dressings). 

Responsibilities include keeping pantry and refrigerator organized and stocked, serving the meals, cleaning up afterwards, leaving the kitchen clean every night (taking out the trash, cleaning the counter tops, floors, doing the dishes) and preparing various foods for the family to eat as snacks in between meals. The Family often has dinner parties in which case servers are hired to help serve meals, drinks and help to clean up afterwards.
Seeking someone with a sunny disposition with lot of energy and stamina. Someone that can handle spontaneity, thinks ahead of time, and has a great sense of timing; someone who is professional, self-motivated and has experience working with families. The chef should be friendly but not overly chatty or needy but more self-contained and emotionally stable.

Must have restaurant and private home experience and be pet friendly as the family has 2 dogs. Must have driver’s license. 
Compensation is $500 a day. The position will begin June 6 and last through labor day with the potential to become a year round job cooking for the family in Manhattan. Chef MUST be available for all work days (thurs - sun and labor day) during the summer.
