Job DescriptionPRISM Plastics, Inc. manufactures high-precision injection molded plastic components for automotive, industrial, and medical markets. PRISM offers safety systems, such as spring case covers, retractor gears, sensor housings/cases, webbing guides, latch rings, and night vision/radar components; and air/fluid quick connectors, air/fluid management systems, and pumps and modules. PRISM also offers steering systems, such as sensor covers, pulleys, retaining rings, shock dampers, and travel stops; mechanisms and actuators, such as window actuators, lift gates, and latches; and sensors and connectors, such as fiber optic connectors, high voltage connectors, and current distribution products. The company was founded in 1999 and is based in Chesterfield, Michigan with additional locations in Chesterfield and Port Huron, MI, Harlingen, TX, Meadville, PA and Monterrey, Mexico.
Primary Responsibilities: at Port Huron Facility
Perform maintenance related activities, including, but not limited to the following:
Learn how to Communicate with equipment and tooling supplier to reach a timely resolution of equipment or tooling failures.
Machine Maintenance (Molding and Auxiliary)
Involved with plant scheduling to determine timing for outsourced preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This communication may apply to both machines and auxiliary equipment.
Learn the critical spare parts inventory system based on historical data.
Order of replacement and organize the parts and spare parts inventory.
Learn and Involved on development/administration of a Predictive Maintenance System for PRISM Plastics on specific items.
Requirements:
2-3 years Plastic Injection molding machine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair experience.
2-3 years Hydraulic/pneumatic system and component troubleshooting and repair experience.
2-3 years Electrical/Industrial electronic system and component troubleshooting and repair experience.
Must know and understand how to operate a pc utilizing Microsoft Office software.
Desired skills and work experience:
2-3 years assembly automation maintenance, troubleshooting and repair experience.
2-3 years Industrial air compressor maintenance, troubleshooting and repair experience.
2-3 years Industrial refrigerated water chiller maintenance, troubleshooting and repair experience.
Basic HVAC maintenance experience.
Keyence Vision, Laser marking and Barcode reader system set-up experience.
PLC/PC integrated control system set-up experience.
ERP System, IQMS software utilization exposure.

50lb lift/push/pull
Varying temperature ranges- heat and cold
Ability to work in tight spaces.
