POSITION PURPOSEUnder the supervision of the Quality Service and Marketing Manager the Quality Service and Marketing Specialist (QSMS) is responsible for generating referrals for home care by building relationships with physicians, hospitals, independent and assisted living facilities, along with other community resources. The QSMS must be organized, analytical, team-focused, individually responsible, and looking to be part of our quality care-focused team. As a proven Marketer, you will be responsible for business growth and development in your territory, as well as assisting patients in navigating through the healthcare maze.ORGANIZATIONThis position reports to Quality and Marketing Manager.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Generating referrals for home health by building relationships with physicians, long term care, independent and assisted living facilities and other community resources.
  • Conduct market analysis; develop sales strategy, goals and plans.
  • Conducting sales calls, and evaluating results and effectiveness of sales activity
  • Support business development activities and help establish strong relationships with new and existing referral sources.
  • Assist in the verification of patient referral service authorizations.
  • Attend staff meetings to identify further business development opportunities.
  • Address client satisfaction issues.
  • Conduct daily in-person visits and activities to meet/exceed the census goals.
  • Prospect territory to expand referral base.
  • Evaluate competition for opportunities to improve marketing program.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources that include physicians and their staff, hospital discharge planners, and social workers.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of the Medicare regulations and guidelines.
  • Understand and effectively communicate federal and state regulations that affect the homecare patient.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • At least two years recent sales experience in the health care industry, preferably in home health care preferred.
  • Formal sales training.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement a sales and marketing plan.
  • Evidence of achieving referral goals within the market.
  • Excellent planning, organization and presentation skills are critical.
  • The ideal candidate will have established healthcare contacts and be able to readily network in the community.
  • Active Oklahoma driver’s license
  • Current car insurance and registration
