The Prince George's County Government Department of the Environment is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Foster Coordinator position, grade A05/A07, within its Placement Division.
About the Position:
This is an entry level Foster Coordinator position working in the area of animal management with the primary responsibility of assisting with the Foster Care Program. Clerical work is performed in accordance with Federal, State and Local procedures, laws and regulations. This position assists the Foster Care Program and is responsible for coordinating animal transfers to foster agents. Work assignments are performed under the general supervision of a higher-level Administrative Manager.What You'll Do:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of the tenth (10th) school grade
Residence in the geographic area of work assignment.
Demonstrated interest in civic or community affairs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or G.E.D.
One (1) year of experience working in a Customer Service role.
One (1) year of experience in inspection and code enforcement work to ensure compliance with animal control codes, ordinances, and standards.
One (1) year of expereince working with animals in a professional capacity.
