Lead Teachers plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. Essential Functions:

• Interact with Children-use appropriate language, interactions, and positive discipline; model appropriate behavior; treat all children with dignity and respect
• Supervision-continuously monitor the children at all times to ensure safety, especially during outside play
• Curriculum-Assist Lead Teacher with preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Communication-Maintain open communication with teachers and administrators and maintain confidentiality of program and client related information
• Classroom Maintenance-Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment; sanitize all surfaces, equipment/ toys
• Collaboration-Interacts and maintains effective relationships with children, parents, teachers, and administrators; flexible with the ability to work in a demanding work environment; cooperates successfully with others
• Physical-able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit on the floor, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Associate Degree
• 4-Year College Degree; preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children infant-preschool age; preferred
• Must complete a satisfactory criminal background check, including fingerprinting and drug testing
• Willing to take Basic 40 Hours training, required by licensing for early childhood
• Warm, friendly personality
• Sensitive to the feelings and needs of others
• Ability to maintain professionalism and apply conflict resolution skills with children, parents, and staff
• Willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with Trinity’s educational philosophy
