Primrose School of Lassiter is looking for someone who LOVES babies!! Our baby room is looking for the perfect candidate to rock, love and nurture the love of learning with our infants ages 6 weeks through 15 months. Candidates are required to work together with their co-teacher on completing daily activities for the classroom which include but are not limited to; implementing curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing. Hourly Pay varies depending on experience and degree level. Range from $11-$16/hour. In addition to a fun working environment, the school offers benefits such as Paid Time Off, Paid holidays, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, and free childcare.
Qualifications
  • Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
  • Must be able to list 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Teacher Responsibilities
  • Supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Lassiter and the local, state, and national agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
  • Attends all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines in the Primrose School of Lassiter Employee Handbook
  • Assists in other capacities that Director determines necessary
