We are hiring for the position of Contracts Specialist in Alpharetta GA (Greater Atlanta)
OVERVIEW:
The Contracts Specialist will provide cradle-to-grave commercial contract administration support, support special assignment requests, provide sound judgement and advice on contractual issues and support proposal team reviews. The Contracts Specialist is responsible for overall contract compliance of assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures, and applicable laws. Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.
GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Provide the oversight and evaluation of proposals, monitoring contracts and claims, lead or assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, ensure compliance with Primetals’ policies and procedures, as well as government and contract requirements.
• Advise and counsel operations counterparts.
• Support change order and claims management, including alignment with project management regarding project specific strategies.
• Regularly interact with programs, contracts, legal, project control, insurance, finance, business development and with customers as required.
• Attend early capture sessions to determine specific information and requirements in order to apply the correct contracts skills, techniques, methods and resources for the opportunity thus meeting Primetals’, as well as the customer’s, expectations and objectives.
• Develop or review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance and minimize company liability.
• Required Travel 0- 10%

Required Skills/Knowledge, Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of hands-on negotiating and administering commercial contracts experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficient knowledge within commercial contracts arena with particular emphasis on reviewing terms and conditions.
• Excellent negotiation skills, including experience redlining and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
• Must have experience with all contract types and a very good working knowledge of commercial marketplace.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment critical. As such, the ability to manage multiple priorities is required.
• Must have the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with executive management and staff regarding contracts issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.
• Experience as contracts lead on large proposals is preferred.
• Ability to establish relationships internally and externally within the Primetals community.
• Industrials Sector experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel/Word/Adobe/PowerPoint.
