Our client, a very successful supplier to the automotive manufacturing industry, seeking a Metallurgist to join their growing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in product failure analysis.
Act as a resource for troubleshooting materials processing problems.
Act as a resource for evaluating potential and existing materials suppliers’ processes.
Act as a resource for troubleshooting supplied materials problems. (Bond, Hardness, ect…)
Customer interaction with materials or quality related issues.
Corrective action report generation.
Act as a resource for evaluating suspect material for rework and suitability for use.
Act as a resource for determining methods of remediation for suspect material.
Act as a resource for continually improving the efficiencies of material processing in assigned department.
Act as a resource in developing and maintaining effective procedures for materials production/evaluation.
Maintain and communicate departmental metrics.
Maintain Gage calibration.
Document control maintenance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a strong background with IATF
