Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description: We are actively seeking an individual with experience as a Maintenance Technician within the apartment industry. You will be bringing your personal tools to work & utilizing them on a daily basis. As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure all scheduled work orders get completed successfully on a daily basis and performing repairs with accuracy.

Responsibilities: May include, but not limited to:

• Appliance Repairs (dishwashers, microwaves, stoves, refrigerators, hot water heaters, ice machines)
• Painting (interior walls, trim, ceiling)
• Drywall Repairs (mud & sheetrock, large holes in a wall)
• Touch up ceiling texture
• HVAC (replace thermostats, light furnace pilot lights)
• Plumbing (repair/replace bathroom & kitchen sinks, repair/replace garbage disposals, repair/replace dishwashers, clear drain clogs, rebuild toilets, resolve drain back-ups, replace tub/sink stoppers, replace shower heads, install kitchen sprayers, pull/set toilets, replace seals on toilet tank, troubleshoot hot water heater issues, replace hot water heaters, light hot water heaters, identify/mediate water leaks windows-doors-plumbing, identify/mediate frozen pipes)
• Electrical (replace bath fan, replace wired smoke detectors, replace/balance ceiling fans, replace dryer vents, replace light fixtures, troubleshoot lights out/switches out, replace light bulbs in vaulted ceilings)
• Carpet (pull out old carpet & pad)
• Misc (replace door knobs-locks-deadbolts, program garage door openers, repair fallen gutters, repair/replace door trim, repair/replace door thresholds, replace full doors/frames int & ext)

• Operating company vehicle to perform apartment make readies
• Communication with service department regarding parts & inventory
• Being pro-active about letting the service department supervisor know if you seen something that needed urgent attention

Qualifications/Skills:

• Has own set of tools (specifically an impact drill & circular saw)
• Professional and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to learn new skills & be flexible
• Can lift & transport 50lbs unassisted
• Ability to stoop & bend when necessary
• Can climb ladders
• Completes tasks in a safe & efficient manner
• Ability to prioritize tasks & manage time to meet deadlines
• Arrives to work on time & ready to work
• Reliable transportation to & from work
• Ability to use an iPad for work related tasks
• Clean & presentable appearance
• Valid Driver's License & Clean driving record
• Pass full background & drug test

Experience:

• Apartment Maintenance Technician - 2 Years (Preferred, but not mandatory)
