PrideStaff is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Beaverton, OR
Our client is a full-service provider of payroll and timekeeping services for local small-to-mid-sized businesses. They are looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to process full spectrum of payroll tasks for multiple local clients in the Pacific Northwest.
Summary
Payroll duties: processing payroll on different schedules, maintaining multiple payroll systems, and verifying supporting documents, processing timecards/invoices
Responsibilities
- Posting payroll journal entries to the GL, and completing related reconciliations
- Monthly Worker's Compensation reporting
- Assist with annual 401k Census and Audit
- Annual W2 preparation
- Assist with Accounts Payable and other Accounting duties as needed
- Knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, garnishments
- Advanced computer system proficiency
- Advanced math skills and ability
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately with numbers required.
- Demonstrated self-management and strong problem solving skills.
- Detail oriented, accuracy, and thoroughness required.
- Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements.
- Ability to actively follow detailed directions written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and professional manner
- Confidentiality in handling payroll and employee records
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time.
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- 1 years experience in Payroll processing
- Associate's degree in Finance/Accounting
- Payroll Certification
- Experience in an Accounts Payable or other Accounting role
- 3 years experience in Payroll processing
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Shift: 8am-5pm - some flexibility around operating hours
Hybrid remote work is available for the right candidate but candidates MUST live in Oregon or Washington.
