Our client has been in business for more than 40 years and is continuing to grow, and needs a Paralegal who will support a team in their Dallas office.
The Paralegal will assist with contracts, coordinate transactional workflow and assist the legal team fully to include the following:
- Draft, review and revise a variety of contracts and agreements, legal presentations, training materials, and other legal materials
- Ability to identify issues within legal documents and department processes
- Contracts database and software administration
- Design, implement and maintain effective and efficient processes; implement process improvement changes whenever possible
- Assist with transactional diligence processes
- Respond to calls and emails regarding a variety of legal questions and other matters
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience working with a law firm or an in-house legal team.
- Minimum of 3 years working as a Paralegal
- MUST have family law experience
- The successful person will be able to assist in-house counsel with drafting contracts and managing contract workflow, conducting legal research, managing multiple calendars.
- This role requires excellent time management, organizational and communication skills, and strong initiative to take on additional tasks.
- Any experience within the following industries would be a plus: real estate, land management, energy
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Well developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must have
