We are looking to add a Screw Machine Operator to lock manufacturing company in Bristol, CT ! This is a Direct-Hire role.
Pay : $35 / hr
Hours : 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm Monday to Friday
Summary :
Screw machine operators will produce precision machined components
applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layouts, control plans and
machining procedures.
Job Functions :
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and optical comparators.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials (i.e. coil stock) onto machines.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Read screw machine blueprint specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and use all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation of tools to perform the appropriate precision machining operations.
Qualifications :
- Experience working in a machine shop environment
- Set up and operation screw machines
- Experience reading blueprints
- Previous Screw or CAM machining experience
